The ECW is dedicated to serving God through fellowship and mission. At St. Peter’s a woman is automatically part of ECW. There are opportunities to participate by attending our meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, as well helping with churchwide ministries like funeral receptions, financial assistance program, stamp ministry and backpack buddies. We also join together for a spring luncheon, and celebrate our distinguished senior ladies at our Christmas tea.
The ECW has its roots and identity in ministry by and for women. However, the ECW at St. Peter's is welcoming and inclusive, and invites others to join their activities and ministries, especially when special presenters are brought in. The more the merrier!
We organize a fundraising event each year to generate income to financially support numerous ministries at the church, in the community, in the diocese, and the world. This spring we will host “An Evening in Parish” for the congregation and guests to enjoy food, fellowship and fun, as well as an auction to raise funds for our ministry projects.
Twenty four folks enjoyed the first ECW meeting of the fall. We shared refreshments, conversation and reconnecting after a summer break. We were then treated to an insightful presentation by spiritual healer Tuyet Beatty-Moore who encouraged us to great our neighbor with heart and healing through touch.
