Born in Texas, I moved to Eastern North Carolina at 12 and have considered it my home ever since. An ECU graduate, I went to seminary at Duke Divinity School and have continued to study theology and philosophy as time allows. Speaking of time, I spend as much time as I can with my wife, son, two dogs and five cats. Very few things make me as happy as laughing with my family, but coffee and comic books and professional wrestling come pretty close. I love being a parish priest and trying to offer as much of the hope and love of Jesus Christ as I can.

I have been married to my husband, Sandy for almost 50 years. We have three adult children, all married, with three precious, perfect grandchildren who are all the apple of my eye. I like to golf, read, garden, and hang out with family and good friends for fun. Having the best of all worlds, I spend fall, winter, and spring in North Carolina and the summer in the Adirondacks on Lake George, NY.

I have been blessed to serve as the Parish Administrator at St. Peter’s for over 20 years. If you need help connecting with someone or a ministry, transferring your membership, giving a monetary gift, sharing information with the congregation or just have general questions, contact me at the church office.
Originally from Edenton, North Carolina, I attended Lawrence Academy and continued my education at Elon College. After graduating from college, I worked with two CPA firms, an industrial and commercial contractor and a real estate developer before landing at St. Peter’s.
Spending time with my husband and kids is my greatest joy whether it’s at home around the dinner table, cheering on the sidelines of the soccer or baseball fields, playing pickle ball, snow skiing, or enjoying the Pamlico River on our boat.
I'm originally a farm girl from the hills of southwestern Virginia, happily transplanted here on the Pamlico 38 years ago upon marrying Neal. I've had an array of jobs, career moves and hobbies over the years. I'm energetic and I enjoy being involved in interesting and entertaining "pursuits." I deeply value honesty and sincerity. Above all else, I treasure my wonderful family and a multitude of good people in the world. I strive to maintain an accepting and open heart.

I came to Eastern North Carolina in the eighties to work for P&G as an engineer. I married a farm boy and have been in the area ever since. We have been married for over thirty years and enjoy spending time with our children, grandchildren, and various pets. We live in a rural part of Greene County near Snow Hill. I am currently working as a perinatal educator and lactation consultant for a private practice. I am so happy to be at such a wonderful and vibrant congregation as St. Peter’s in Washington while I work toward completing my studies through General Theological Seminary in New York City.
